Questions, answered.
Do you speak English?
Yes — we're English-friendly. Booking takes about a minute online, and your whole visit works smoothly in English. We may not be perfectly fluent, but you'll be understood and looked after.
I've never had a massage in Japan. Is it beginner-friendly?
Absolutely. Many of our guests are first-time visitors from overseas. We explain each step and check in with you throughout, so there are no surprises.
Can you adjust the pressure? I don't want it too strong.
Always. Not too strong, not too light — adjusted to you. Just say the word (or gesture) during the session and we fine-tune on the spot.
Are tattoos okay?
Yes. Tattoos are completely welcome at Kintsugi Spa.
Are men welcome? Is it couples-friendly?
Everyone is welcome. Let us know if you'd like to book for two and we'll do our best to arrange it.
What should I wear, and do I need to bring anything?
Just come as you are. We provide everything you need for the treatment, so there's nothing to prepare.
Do I need to tip?
No. Tipping is not expected in Japan — the price you book is all you pay.
How do I get there from Hakata Station?
It's a 7-minute walk from Hakata Station. Look for the small entrance to the right of Motsunabe Nagamasa, then take the elevator to the 5th floor. The entrance is easy to miss, so give yourself a moment to find it.
How do I book?
Book online in about a minute. If you'd like to ask something first, message us on WhatsApp — we're happy to help before you arrive.
